Looking Back at 2012 {Flashback Friday}

With this being the last Friday of 2012 myself and Jenny thought it would be good to set the theme of looking back at 2012 for this weeks Flashback Friday.
Of course it's nice to look back at highlights but the lowtimes can also be significant and may have been more important or taken over the majority of 2012, so don't feel that you can't share the lows as well.
I've already started posts looking back at 2012. You can find them here and here, so I thought I would instead go back to a post of mine from December 31st 2011, entitled Goals for 2012.

I said:
I have given myself goals which I feel are a bit more achievable. And more of a challenge I guess.
Here is a look at how I got on:

Complete a Photo a Day Project- FAIL!
This started with very good intentions but with no laptop/a very unreliable laptop there was no surprise that I would struggle to get my photos uploaded and organised.
I will one day succeed with this.

Cooking: Succeeded.
I'd set myself the challenge to make/bake:
* Pie
* Sausage Rolls
* Mince Pies
* Chutneys and Pickles
* Pate
I made sausage rolls, mince pies (two different kinds following my own recipe each time) and also made quiche which wasn't on the list but was something I had always wanted to do.
After a very successful Christmas dinner, including the most amazing stuffing balls, cooked by only me I think this year was successful.

Homemade Crafts: Succeeded!
My inner Kirstie Allsopp was on fire this year! Towards the end at least. I made bunting for Charles' room, two lots of bunting for Harry's room, Christmas bunting for us, a cushion for Harry (from scratch not following a template) and a stocking for myself, again from scratch not following a template and simply making it up as I went along.
I also made two felt Christmas tree's for our table centrepiece and two fabric wreaths.
We've also made some lovely pieces for the boys bedrooms, and some gifts I was really pleased to give as Christmas presents to our mums.

Looking back at these goals I'm pleased with what I have achieved.

This weeks Flashback Friday theme is "Looking Back at 2012"
Share your favourite post from 2012, share your achievements, highs, lows, etc.
Remember a flashback can be from any time whether it be yesterday, last week, last month, last year or yesteryear! It can be a flashback of your own, your children, your partner or your friends. And if you don't want to write a post, then just link up a photo with a date. If you don't have time to write a new post, no problem simply link up a post you have already posted.
