Happy Sunday | Week One

Whether or not you think Sunday is the end of the week, or the beginning of a new one, I thought it would be a nice idea to look back on the week that has just past and to look at the things that have made me happy and made me smile.
I think it can be easy to look back on a hard week and miss out on those things. A week of bad weather for example can really make it seem as though the whole week was a complete fail. But it probably wasn't. We must all smile at least once a day. I know I do, even if I forget it.

Things that made me happy this week:

Daffodils.

Opening and brightening up the garden.
I adore these miniature ones. All bunched up looking like they are keeping each other warm. Even more beautiful with a little raindrop upon each petal.

Blue skies.

Although the weather can't make it's mind up the sky seems to have been blue more than grey this week. This makes me smile. Come on Spring. Don't be shy.

Hard work, passion and dedication.

My husband is working so hard on the boat at the moment. Any spare moment is spent there, even finishing work early just to go and varnish or paint some more. We are on a really tight deadline and may not have much family time this month but it will all be worth it when we are sailing on the Norfolk Broads. I'm so proud of my husband for following his dreams and for getting stuck into the project.

A mummy' s boy.

Sometimes it can be a bit much, wanting to be cuddled non stop and constantly in demand. But overall, how can I really complain? It's proof that he loves me so much and that makes me happy.

This quote.

I adore Pinterest, mostly because for me it's like a friend I can go to when in need. It seems to know exactly what to say to make me feel better. When I am feeling rubbish, a little bit down or if something has happened, I run to Pinterest and search for quotes.
I loved this one I found this week.
