Happy Sunday | Week Twenty

Whether or not you think Sunday is the end of the week, or the beginning of a new one, I thought it would be a nice idea to look back on the week that has just past and to look at the things that have made me happy and made me smile.
I think it can be easy to look back on a hard week and miss out on those things. A week of bad weather for example can really make it seem as though the whole week was a complete fail. But it probably wasn't. We must all smile at least once a day. I know I do, even if I forget it.

Things that made me happy this week:

My Mini-Me

As Harry gets older I am seeing more of myself in him and as Charles gets older I am seeing more of my husband in him. Harry was pretty much the spitting image of my husband when he was first born, and although there are still similarities of course I think he is pretty much my mini-me now.
I bought him this hat for his birthday and he is obsessed with it. He hates taking it off and will sleep with it next to him at night and even if he just gets up for the toilet or to get a drink he will put it on straight away.

Feet Up and Relax

We ended up going on an epic walk to find some water as we were running really low. After they had their dinner onboard we set up our suntent on the bank and let the boys have their own time to be silly and giggle about boy things. We sat and watched them whilst drinking gin in a tin with our feet up.

"I'm flying Jack"

Ok, although I stood at the bow of the yacht I did not open my arms out and say the words "I'm flying Jack". In my head, yes I did. In my head yes I was Kate Winslet but in real life, nope.
In fact so many people do that that it's quite cringey although fun I know.
It is so lovely and completely different standing at the front and looking at the surroundings and being away from the sound of the engine if we are motoring along and instead enjoying the sound of the water crashing against the boat.

Alone Time

Holidaying on a yacht can be a struggle. The space isn't all that big, I mean it's ok and we are all comfortable and there is enough space for all of us to lounge around inside but you can easily miss that time when you just need to be with your own thoughts and just to be able to think about life and take everything in. I love having the opportunity to take a few moments at the front of the yacht and after the above photo was taken I sat down with my Kindle and read some of my book and then just watched the world (and hire boats) go past.

Norfolk Sayings

I noticed this sign as we left one of the moorings to visit a pub. It really made me giggle....a lot...so much so that I want one in my garden.
I love the Norfolk accent and for some reason find a deep, older mans Norfolk accent really comforting.

What made you happy this week?
