May Lust List

Although I've had a Pinterest account for a long time now I had mostly used it for quotes. Until two years ago when I discovered tattoos and then more recently I've become absolutely obsessed with it.
Pinning tattoos, nails, make up, hair, quotes and articles.

I wanted to put together monthly posts..."Lust Lists" sharing basically what I have been lusting after the most.

When I go to the Isle of Man I want to get a tattoo there. Yes I am a little addicted to getting tattoos and although I got a small one last year I want something a little more significant this year. I decided on a fairy not only because I thought it was pretty, but also because it has relevance to the island. I didn't want anything that was too childish and a bit too much like Tinkerbell, but also didn't want anything that looked too much like an elf or even an angel. It wasn't easy but the fairies below were the ones on my short list and I have gone for one which is simple, pretty and effective.
I was going to go to a walk in studio, however thankfully I contacted him last week and he seemed to be a bit difficult about the one I like so instead I am booked in somewhere else for 3.30 on the 31st!

I haven't had my nails done in a while. In fact the last ones I had ended up getting a bit too long and I just didn't get round to sorting them out and ended up ripping them all off...and then caved and stupidly started biting my nails again. I hated it and felt ridiculously ashamed and embarrassed by them.
With a mad panic before I went on holiday I managed to book in with a friend who works in a salon. Lifesaver!!! I knew for months that I wanted my nails to be dark, rather than going for something summery.
I've always preferred a dark nail, although will go for a pale or bright colour but I do feel like something dark is a little more me.
I had my heart set on something that was fitting for the TT, and for the event I had been looking forward to for a whole year. Either blue or black, is what I had imagined and obviously I went to Pinterest to find the exact look I wanted, or at least to find some inspiration and something to work with.
The beautician "smashed it" (that's what the cool people say right?!) and not only created what I wanted but went a step further. Although I thought more about Chrome I walked away with chromey, glittery, beautiful, pretty nails that definitely fit the look of "bike exhaust-esque" style I wanted and I am sooo pleased.
Here are the original images I used as inspiration. And this link will show you how my nails turned out.
