Reasons To Be Cheerful {2}

I think its so easy to get hung up on all the bad things in life sometimes, especially when everything seems to be going wrong.
Thankfully when I have moments like this I just look at my boys and realise how lucky I am.

Last year we fell in love with a potential holiday perfect for us and our boys. We planned to go in March, just in time for my husbands birthday.
As it was getting close to Christmas and we'd just had to pay out for a new washing machine, we agreed to wait until new year to either pay the deposit or simply pay in full and book our first family-of-four holiday.
Yet this hasn't been possible due to car problems, a new dishwasher needed and us treating ourselves to new sofas (due to arrive in March).
Although I am gutted at our holiday plans not working out I have to constantly remind myself that the money we would've spent has gone on essential household items and comfy new sofas.

I just want to spend some quality time away with my family without the distraction of running a house etc. And the boys to spend some bonding time with their daddy.

Thankfully we have two things coming up which are great alternatives and two reasons to be cheerful:

1. In March we are having a mini break in the Midlands. We've booked a two night stay at the Drayton Manor hotel and will be spending one day at the Leicester Space Centre and another day at Thomas Land and the zoo at Drayton Manor. This break will also be for my husbands birthday so it will be great to be away for that.

2: In May we are spending 2 days away. One day will be attending a friends wedding, and after first fears of the boys not being invited its been confirmed that they actually are. We'll be staying over at the hotel and then plan to visit Woburn Safari Park the following day, or seeing if there are any other attractions which the boys will love also.
Of course another reason to be cheerful here is that a wedding = a new outfit. Always a good thing!
I also can't wait to be able to dance at the reception with Charles. Or simply watch him dance by himself.

Ahhhh. I feel much happier now.
