When Charles was 1 my brother surprised him with the Police Car version of the Cozy Coupe. It was an instant hit and has been a firm favourite of Charles' for the last 5 years. Even at 6 years old he loves rushing around the garden, pretending to fill it up with Diesel and spends more time than a child should cleaning it.
It's also one of those toys that children can fight over. Let's face it, it's a cool toy and it's totally understandable that they would all want to play with it at the same time and struggle sharing it.
So recently when we were offered the new Crazy Coupe Dino to review I could hardly say no could I?
Assembly is required for the Cozy Coupe, this can be a little tricky and a bit of a pain. I know it took a while for my brother to put together the police one when he bought it and it seems that maybe nothing has improved since. We are having problems with the front wheels, however despite the fiddly building of the cars they are robust and will last for years with little evidence of age. I think even those who are not fans of plastic toys can allow exception for this toy.
The characteristics are classic and are proof that the design team got it right first time. The big eyes remain, as does the layout of the ignition, steering wheel, and cup holders placed at the back. Even the shape is still the same.
The handle on the roof makes it really handy for parents to control the cars when out and about.
Cozy Coupes will cost you around £54.99-£59.99, which is a great price to pay for something that will played with a lot and for many years.
