Sundays #4

I always used to enjoy reading Charlottes 'Weekend Posts' and it's something I've wanted to take inspiration from for a while. Particularly since being with my boyfriend as my weekends aren't spent all lonely by myself wondering what to do.
I work every Saturday so my alternative to a weekend post is to document my Sundays. Sometimes its just a lazy day but I am now trying to make more of an effort, even if it is a home day I try to at least make it special by making a good breakfast or having something really nice for dinner.
Sunday this week was boy free but a lovely one anyway because it was the one Sunday I get a month where it is just me and my boyfriend.
We woke up really early which was good as we were due to meet my mum, her boyfriend, my brother and his girlfriend for breakfast. Well, we fell back asleep and I woke up at 9.30 to a Whatsapp message telling me they were all awake and waiting for us. We quickly got up, got dressed, switched on the tortoises and said good morning to them and made coffees but then plans then changed (not due to us being up later) and we were due to meet after 11. I cleared the kitchen and did the dishwasher, and took the chance to listen to some of the Blood Brothers album on Spotify (any excuse).

The first place we planned to eat was full so we went to our local Wetherspoons. I almost went for a full English breakfast but had been thinking about Eggs Benedict for a while and was glad to see those on the menu. The Hollandaise sauce wasn't as strong as I usually like but it was delicious anyway. It was the first time my brother and his girlfriend were meeting my boyfriend and it went well which was lovely...although not sure how it could have gone wrong to be fair.

With no other real plans for the day me and my boyfriend drove to Tesco in Great Yarmouth, rather than my local one just so we could go for a drive and also because "why not" and then decided to go to Norwich to have a look around Go Outdoors. We then stopped at TKMaxx, he stayed in the car and I went in for a look, before driving home.

When we came home we just relaxed for the rest of the afternoon and evening. We had a hot drink, lit some candles, and didn't really do much else. I made us a pasta bake for dinner, along with some Scampi that was in the freezer, and we ate some Ferrero Rocher I managed to find reduced in the local shop.

I struggled at the end of the evening with some personal things going on in my mind but we did our Oracle Cards and then went to bed.
Just before going up I spotted the tablets I'd lost from the vets last week and needed to give the cats.
A quick look on Youtube and we managed, eventually, to administer 3 tablets to 3 not very happy cats.
